Family’s Christmas treat as TV viewing is restored

A YOUNG couple and their two children are looking forward to Christmas again after an electrical company stepped in to replace the festive presents stolen by thieves at the weekend.

The JEP reported earlier this week how Jody Loake’s ten-year-old daughter Courtney no longer believes that Father Christmas exists after hearing her mother report the theft of a new Samsung television set and a portable DVD player worth a total of £730 meant for Courtney and her sister Macey (4).

But the family, who live in Grand Vaux, have had the smiles back on their faces after NSEW stepped in to replace the goods. Miss Loake (29) said that when she received the phone call from the electrical company she thought at first that it was a prank call.

‘I don’t think it has sunk in yet and I am still in shock. I feel really excited and cannot believe how generous people are, but I really hope that the person responsible for this gets caught,’ she added. ‘I am now looking forward to having a nice Christmas with the family.’
