THANK you for publishing my ‘Vote for us’ letter (JEP, 26 November).
Unfortunately it would appear from the numerous comments that I’ve received that the second deck of heading you used may have led people to believe that I was actually anti-GST and, additionally, may have caused other readers to ignore the content. Given no workable options at present, and if the rate is kept at a low level, this could not be further from the truth.
My intention was to raise awareness of some of the ploys being used by the candidates to seduce the electorate; seeing the results it looks as if they succeeded in some cases. I fear that, although done with good intent, the heading was possibly too ironic.
