Perchard bags hat-trick

TEENAGER Charles Perchard claimed a hat-trick last night as Caesareans Juniors maintained their 100 per cent record in Division III of the NatWest Indoor Cricket 6-a-side League.

At Fort Regent, Perchard also claimed a fourth wicket in a 42-run win against Sloggers with Andrew Rabet supporting with two for eight. Sloggers were dismissed for a total of 52 chasing the Juniors’ 12-over total of 94 for four in which James Faudemer top scored with an unbeaten 24.

Centurions won their first points in Division I after they defeated JJCA I by four wickets. Peter Millar and Tim de la Haye were unbeaten with 33 runs and 25 respectively as JJCA I totalled 98 for three in 12 overs. Centurions reached their target for the loss of two wickets with Danny Bertram and Jack Waters both unbeaten on 35 and 35 respectively.

JJCA II went joint top of Division II after they beat Lutea Mavericks. Corne Bodenstein took three wickets for 16 runs for the winners while Corey Bisson was 29 not out chasing Mavericks’ 50 all out to win. Walkovers A, one of four teams in joint top spot, beat Pentagon by 39 runs. Andy Bouchard had a fine game all round for the winners by hitting an unbeaten 65 runs and then taking two wickets for nine runs as Pentagon were restricted to 69 all out chasing Walkovers A’s 108 for five.
