Cocaine comedian gets nine months

A UK comedian has been jailed for nine months by the Royal Court for smuggling cocaine into Jersey.

Dominic Reardon (38), who is a well-known comic on the club circuit in the north of England and can command a fee of £1,200 a night, was caught in August along with one of his friends from the UK, Michael Seabury (33), who was also jailed for nine months.

Another of his friends who arranged the pair’s visit, Thomas McKibbon, of Jersey, admitted possessing a separate batch of cocaine on the same day. He was jailed for 18 months for possession with intent to supply the drug.

The men, who were all described as having a relaxed attitude to what they thought was a social drug, had shared lines of cocaine in a hotel room just before they were arrested in August last year
