Sharp Jersey eye top spot

The local side is currently second in the league, while Hayward’s Heath lie in 13th and second from the bottom.

But JRFC head coach Ben Harvey is taking nothing for granted. He said that this game would be as difficult as any other in the league, following the visitors’ 32 – 26 win over Norfolk’s premier club, North Walsham, last weekend.

‘There are no easy games and I’m particularly fearful of sides who are perceived to have nothing to lose,’ he said. ‘On their day any side is capable of an upset. No – one has a divine right to win and you can’t sit back and allow another team to dictate (to you).’

The match kicks – off at 3 pm.
