Former Jersey College for Girls student Patricia Da Silva (18) was chosen to represent the parish along with Maisie Robertson (15) and Kaden Rault (12), who were picked as the Miss Junior St Helier and Mr Junior St Helier at an afternoon tea party at the Town Hall last Saturday.
Patricia, who lives with her mother, Doriza De Andrade, and younger brother, Fabio Da Silva, in town, said she was delighted to have won the competition, having entered in order to gain experience and as a way of meeting people.
She said she had already made friends with the others who took part – Kelly Ahearn, Niomi Orlandini and Kelly Pontes – and was looking forward to helping with the float and to being a part of Battle of Flowers day.
