THE cause of a large fire which destroyed a wheelie bin on a social housing estate in St Helier is being investigated by the States police.
Two fire engines were sent to the Pomme D’Or estate at First Tower to put out the blaze, which was inside a bin store and reported just before 3.30pm on 10 May.
A statement released by the Fire and Rescue Service said that there was ‘potential’ for it to spread to neighbouring properties.
Police officers are liasing with Andium Homes to determine what started the fire.
