A whole host of bakers will today be busy perfecting their meringues and practising their soufflés ahead of the Great St Mary Bake-Off tomorrow.
Mary Berry, who lives in St Mary, was chosen to judge the competition purely because she has the same name as the famous presenter who starred on the much-loved TV baking show.
Zelia Le Miere, a professional cake baker who teaches cake decoration, will also be on the judging panel.
The amateur bakers of St Mary will be able to enter various categories including scrumptious scones, victorious sponges, cutest cupcakes and chocolate heaven, as well as the show-stopper.
