The 29-year-old was walking the horse along Les Ruettes, near Grands Vaux reservoir, at 8.10 am on Wednesday when the animal bolted and she was dragged to the ground.
Paramedics and police attended and the woman was taken to Accident and Emergency.
The extent of her injuries are not yet known.
