Luxury yacht wreckage tracked

On Tuesday – more than two months after P6T2 went down after striking the Ruaudière navigation buoy in St Aubin’s Bay – a section of the vessel’s stern washed up on the north Normandy coast. The bow came ashore at Portbail on the west Normandy coast early last month, and dozens of smaller pieces have been found on other French and Jersey beaches.

A salvage operation was called off last month after it was discovered that the vessel had broken up on the sea bed. Earlier this week it was revealed that the skipper has had his licence suspended while the authorities consider an accident report compiled by the Harbourmaster.
