The 28-year-old woman was heading home on Monday evening when she noticed she was apparently being following by a man, who is described as being around 5 ft 4 in tall, of medium build with a ‘paunch’ and having olive skin.
He had short, dark hair, which was balding on top. He was clean shaven and was wearing a navy-blue coat, dark-coloured trousers and possibly a navy scarf when the incident took place at around 6.25 pm.
A spokeswoman for the police said: ‘There could be a totally innocent explanation but the police are appealing for the male seen in the attached CCTV images to come forward and speak to officers.’
