Bottoms up! Visit Jersey rises to the challenge of air link promotion

But that is the approach Visit Jersey has taken after it was tasked with promoting easyJet’s new route to Edinburgh.

The video features Finlay Wilson and Stephen Winstanley from Kilted Yoga performing at a number of different locations including Corbière, Gorey, Portelet and Plémont.

The pair became viral sensations last year when a similar video shot in Scotland was viewed more than 50 million times within months.

Famously they left Lorraine Kelly blushing on her ITV show and they even appeared on America’s high-profile Today show.

Adam Caerlewy-Smith, head of marketing for Visit Jersey, explained the thinking behind bringing the pair to Jersey.

He said: ‘We invited them to the Island last month and made a little video for our social media channels. It is quite a funny and humorous way of promoting Jersey.

‘All the ideas came from our internal team. We just thought, what better way to bring Scottish people to Jersey?

‘They made a little edit in Scotland last year which proved quite popular and that is how they initially ended up on our radar.’

Mr Wilson, the founder of Kilted Yoga, added: ‘Our first Kilted Yoga film was a big hit last year, so we were very excited when we received the invite to make a follow-up film in Jersey.

‘The Island has some spectacular scenery, so whether you are into yoga or just enjoy getting outdoors, hopefully we have inspired Scots to visit the Island.’

The new route runs on Tuesdays and Sundays and is the airline’s eighth Jersey route.
