TV property show star to host NSPCC charity ball auction

The TV presenter will be auctioning a range of prizes including the opportunity to join him for a property auction.

Money raised from the Emerald Isle Ball, which is being held at Trinity Manor on Saturday 30 June, will go towards NSPCC programmes run at the charity’s Gower Centre in St Helier.

Mr Roberts, who has also appeared on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, said: ‘I’m looking forward to hosting the auction and giving out some amazing prizes.

‘The NSPCC is a charity that is very close to my heart and I hope we can help raise a lot of money for the work they do in Jersey.

‘I have seen some of the incredible work they do and am committed to supporting them in any way I can.’

The event will also support NSPCC Jersey’s PANTS campaign, which was recently launched in partnership with the States of Jersey and teaches children about what sexual abuse is and how to report it.

Jacky Moon, service centre manager for NSPCC Jersey, said: ‘We can’t wait to host our annual Emerald Isle Ball and hope it will be bigger and better than last year.

‘It is guaranteed to be a fun-filled event and will raise much needed funds for our work in Jersey.

‘We’re looking forward to Martin Roberts hosting the celebrity auction in his own inimitable way.

‘Every penny raised will make a massive difference to the NSPCC in Jersey and allow us to help children who have been the victims of abuse rebuild their lives.

‘We would urge anyone thinking of buying tickets to get them now before they sell out.’
