UK’s top chefs to cook at Longueville Manor

Longueville Manor has launched ‘Savour’, a series of wine and culinary events to take place from 31 January to 4 April. The celebrations will help to mark the manor’s anniversary year, with more ‘surprises’ promised for later in 2019.

The series includes special dinners prepared by Michelin-star chefs George Blogg from Gravetye Manor, Sussex; Hrishikesh Desai from Gilpin Hotel & Lake House in the Lake District and Vincenzo Candiano from the two-star Locanda Don Serafino in Sicily.

Guy Owen from The Idle Rocks, Cornwall, which was named 2018 Seafood Restaurant of the Year by The Caterer, will also cook for guests one night.

The wine events include special tastings of Bollinger and wines produced by Domaine des Comtes Lafon and in the Bordeaux region.

Longueville owner Malcolm Lewis said: ‘2019 is a momentous year for us and we are delighted to be celebrating the anniversary with the launch of Savour. The tastings, presented in our newly built state-of-the-art Wine Cellar are completely unique in terms of the rare vintages on offer, whilst each chef’s dinner promises to bring an evening that will be truly unforgettable.’

Last year Mr Blogg and celebrity chef Michael Caines visited the hotel for a similar series of events celebrating local produce.
