Lifeboat crew help group cut off by the tide

The crew were preparing the boat for the next launch after an exercise on Sunday morning when they were tasked by Jersey Coastguard to help the group who had got cut off by the tide.

The crew made their way round to the north-west side of the castle where they were able to ensure everyone was safe and well. Once life jackets were fitted, the lifeboat crew got the people on board the Atlantic 85 lifeboat and transferred them safely back to shore.

In a Facebook post, RNLI Jersey said: ‘If you find yourself in trouble or you see anyone in trouble call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.’
