Durrell gorillas need a home

The gorilla sculptures were created as part of Jersey Zoo’s Go Wild Gorillas trail and placed at various locations around the Island.

Hundreds of people have completed the trail and the sculptures will be in situ for another three three weeks. After that, they will be auctioned off to raise money for the charity.

Those running the project are now in need of a temporary home for the gorillas so artists and technicians can work on them before they are made ready for auction.

A post on the ‘Go Wild Gorillas’ Facebook page said: ‘We’d need a temporary home for them between the 14 October and 30 November, which could house all 41 silverback gorilla sculptures, have running water, electricity and space for our artists and technicians to work on them.

‘This is a fantastic opportunity to become a part of the Go Wild Gorillas trail, and to help an amazing cause in the process. Please get in touch if you can help us home our gorillas at art@gowildgorillas.org.’
