Eden House, which is near Portelet and overlooks Ouaisné Common and St Brelade’s Bay, is being marketed by Savills and Wilsons.

The 16,000sq-ft property, which has six bedrooms, garage parking for six cars, a separate guest cottage and sits in three acres of land, has been extensively refurbished and enlarged.

The asking price matches the original price tag for Maison de la Valette in Trinity, which was sold in 2016.

The sale price was not disclosed, but was believed to be a record for Jersey, exceeding the £18.625 million paid for Daisy Hill Cottage in Trinity in 2015.

Eden House is a primarily new-built mansion off Route de Noirmont, incorporating the central core of an original home.

Its position is described as ‘an unrivalled west-facing location enjoying uninterrupted views over St Brelade’s Bay and further out to sea’. Potential buyers are advised that the property ‘has been finished to an exacting modern standard and is faced in hand-cut local Jersey granite.’

A combination of sea views, privacy and direct beach access are among the features that may attract interest, as well as accessibility to the Airport, St Aubin and St Helier.

Several Island properties are currently on the market with eight-figure asking prices. These include St John’s Manor, which was originally marketed in early 2018 for £22 million.

The 58-acre property, home of Canadian-born international businessman and diplomat for Rwanda, John W Dick, remains unsold and was reduced in price to £17.5 million two months ago.
