Adrian Florinel Dumitrache, of Le Breton Lane, has been charged with five offences at various locations across town which all allegedly occurred on Christmas morning, a day after his 31st birthday.
The defendant, who is originally from Romania and moved to Jersey in November, is accused of three counts of sexual touching against three women and one count of committing a gross outrage of public decency near Springfield Stadium.
He faces a further charge of illegal entry, in which he allegedly entered a property in the north of town early on Christmas morning and sexually touched a woman.
Mr Dumitrache was remanded in custody and Assistant Magistrate Peter Harris said the alleged offences were too serious to be dealt with in Island’s lower court. The defendant is due to reappear in the Magistrate’s Court for an interim hearing on Friday 24 January and is then due to have his case formally committed to the Royal Court on Friday 14 February.
