The former Les Quennevais student, who claimed a silver medal at the 2017 World Championships, is set to appear in Montpellier from 4-8 June and is still in contention to take Britain’s sole men’s freestyle spot for Tokyo 2021.

The freestyle arm of the sport is due to make its long-anticipated debut at the delayed Games.

Selection for Montpellier offers Coleborn the chance to make his first competitive appearance at elite level since November 2019, having spent all of 2020 sidelined by the pandemic and foot surgery. His training partners, close friends and Olympic rivals, James Jones, Declan Brooks and Ben Wallace, have also been named in a four-strong GB contingent.
