MIDVALE Road will be closed for the next three months while a major programme of work is carried out – and when it reopens it will be one-way.

The work includes:

  • Widening the pavements on both sides

  • Installing three ‘raised tables’ to slow traffic and help pedestrians cross the road

  • Improving street lighting and drainage

  • Adjusting traffic signals at both ends of the road

When the road reopens it will be one way, from Rouge Bouillon to Val Plaisant. However, provision will be made for cyclists to travel in the opposite direction.
