THE fourth annual ecoJersey ‘parish clean-up’ takes place tomorrow.

Islanders can participate in the JEP initiative, which sees volunteers help to tidy areas across several parishes between 10am and noon. Those interested in the event, which was attended by more than 300 people last year, can learn more by visiting parishcleanup.com.

Andy Farmer, the co-founder of Littlefeet Environmental – a charity that runs regular beach-cleaning sessions – urged Islanders to join in.

‘We would encourage as many people as possible to take part in the parish clean-up this weekend.

‘It is important that we take good care of the environment, as doing so provides numerous benefits, not just in terms of our personal enjoyment but also for the local wildlife,’ he said.

‘The more everyone works together, the more of a difference we can make.’
