A SCAMMER has been posing as a radio presenter and telling Islanders they have won a prize, according to the police.
The fraudster had launched a Facebook account contacting people claiming to be from Island FM before asking for personal details in order to claim the prize.
In a warning, the States police said: ‘We’ve been alerted to a scam that’s trying to get your personal details.
‘A fake account claiming to be a radio presenter from Island FM is sending messages saying you’ve won their prize and then asks for details, please just ignore any message like this and don’t respond.’
