Five arrested after police operation leads to £60k seizure of class A and B drugs

FIVE people have been arrested following a £60k drugs seizure.

Officers arrested two men and three women for drug offences on Friday, following a Drug Squad operation that saw between £50,000 and £60,000 of class A and B drugs seized.

Between £10,000 and £15,000 of cash was also seized.

The three women – aged 32, 21 and 19 – and one of the men – aged 25 – were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs and have since been released on police bail.

The other man, 39-year-old Shane Lloyd was charged with possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs – cannabis and cocaine – and was due to appear in the Magistrates Court this morning.
