Warning of possible flooding and road closures in Jersey during Wednesday morning's high tide

JERSEY Met has issued a warning for possible coastal flooding during Wednesday morning’s high tide.

The orange warning – the second-highest level of alert – covers the period of the 38.7ft high tide at 6.55am.

The warning states: ‘Wind and high tides will lead to waves breaking over sea walls which is expected to cause disruption, with water and debris on roads along Jersey’s south coast on tomorrow morning (Wednesday’s) high tide. Some flooding may occur, with some coastal roads closed.

‘High tide is at 6.55am (11.8m).’

Unsettled conditions are expected to continue for at least the next five days.
