JERSEY’S new skate park at Les Quennevais will close for five days next week while work is carried out to seal some of the concrete surfaces.
The skate park opened in February, with the government explaining this week that the sealing work had not been completed at the time because of bad weather.
The government said that rather than delay the skate park any further, it had been decided to hold the opening in February and that it was not considered that the lack of sealant would be detrimental for the short term.
The closure is due to come into effect on Monday, as long as the weather conditions permit this, and last until Friday19 May, with the work being carried out by contractor Brenwal.
