E-BIKE vouchers will once again be available to Islanders on a first-come first-served basis later this month.
There will be two application windows this year for the grants of either £300 (for standard e-bikes) or £600 (e-cargo bikes and adapted e-cycles), Environment Minister Steve Luce has announced.
The first batch of vouchers will go live on the website: gov.je/ebike at midday on Tuesday 19 March on a first-come first-served basis.
And the second batch will be available on Monday 8 July, when all remaining funding will be up for grabs.
These two windows will bring to a close the two-year scheme begun by the previous Council of Ministers.
A total of £300,000 from the Climate Emergency Fund was allocated to the scheme, which is designed to encourage people to switch from car journeys to a low-emission mode of transport.
Over 1,800 Islanders applied during the first window of the e-bike grant scheme, which ran in January, and around £130,000 of the initial £300,000 has already supported Islanders with purchases.
