A FORMER States police officer is due to appear in the Royal Court charged with perverting the course of justice.
Elle Rebecca Keens appeared in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday via video link from HMP La Moye.
She has been remanded in custody since her first court appearance last month.
The 28-year-old former officer resigned from the States police in May last year.
Assistant Magistrate Adam Clarke ruled that the case was too serious for the Magistrate’s Court to deal with. He ordered that she would remain in custody to appear in the Royal Court on 28 June.
He also ordered that reports be prepared before her Royal Court appearance.
