Police name elderly woman who died after car fell over wall at Corbière

AN 84-YEAR-OLD woman who died after the car she was a passenger in fell over a 20ft wall at Corbière has been named by the police.

Ann Robins died from her injuries on Sunday after the car – a black Suzuki Swift – overturned, having fallen over the cliff edge and landing on its roof.

All three emergency services attended the scene on Sunday evening.

The driver, who was trapped inside, and Ms Robins who was already receiving care from States of Jersey Police officers, were taken to hospital for treatment.

Police confirmed yesterday morning that an elderly woman had died as a result of the incident and the second woman remains in a stable condition.

The force added that Ms Robins’s family continue to be supported by specialist officers and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
