WATCH: 20ft fountain in St Helier as water main bursts

A WATER main which burst – creating a 20ft fountain in Kensington Place – has now been fixed.

Jersey Water said that “normal service” has now resumed and that they have tried to visit every home in the area to check the water pressure.

In a statement, they added: “Water services should be back to normal for properties in Kensington Place after this morning’s rather impressive burst main.

“The section of road near Cheapside will remain closed for now while we finish the repairs. Access from the south by the Grand Hotel is open as usual.

“We visited all homes and businesses in the area but, if we missed you today and you need to speak to us about your water supply, you can contact our Customer Services team on (01534) 707300. You might experience low water pressure or changes in the colour of your water. Our team can help you resolve this quickly so give them a call.”
