A WOMAN whose husband reported her on suspicion of drink-driving has admitted failing to provide a breath sample to the police.
Lyndsay Jane Richardson was found by officers at St John’s Inn on the afternoon of 7 April, after a call from her husband.
Her grey Audi was parked outside the pub. St Helier Centenier Paul Huelin said: “She smelt of intoxicant, her speech was slurred, her eyes were glazed and she was taking long pauses in answering questions.”
They arrested her on suspicion of drink-driving and asked her to give a breath sample at police headquarters, but Mr Huelin said: “She provided insufficient breath for analysis.
“There was no medical reason why she could not provide a sample.”
Richardson admitted the offence of failing to provide a specimen for analysis.
Magistrate Bridget Shaw imposed an interim driving ban and adjourned sentencing until 28 May to allow time for a pre-sentence report. Richardson was released on bail.
