The Islanders produced a staggering performance last Saturday, in front of a record-breaking St Peter crowd, to shock Championship leaders London Irish and inflict a first league defeat of the season on the Exiles.
While that was an historic result, one which will live long in the memory of those who witnessed it, beating Irish at Reading’s Madejski Stadium to reach the B&I Cup final for the first time would surely rank among the most momentous occasions in the club’s history. It appears daunting, but it’s a challenge Harvey Biljon and his team are relishing.
