A TRY hat-trick in six minutes for winger Will Brown capped a mesmeric start to the second-half, and sealed Jersey Reds third win in a row away at London Scottish.

The islanders scored nine tries in a 55 – 21 win, with seven in the second half, to make it their best ever start to a Championship season and keep themselves at the top of the table.

Talisman hooker Eoghan Clarke opened the scoring for Jersey with a catch-and-drive try on the ninth minute with No.8 Alun Lawrence extending Reds’ lead before Scottish scrum-half Ed Hoadley scored just before half-time.

Jersey went up a gear in the second-half, with James Elliot scoring a running effort straight after the restart with Dan Barnes scoring before Brown’s hat-trick.

Tries from skipper Lewis Wynne and replacement James Hadfield rounded out the victory at a sunny Richmond Athletic Ground with the Exiles getting two late consolation scores in the final minutes.
