JERSEY REDS full-back Brendan Owen weaved through four defenders to score the Islanders tenth try in the final minutes and secure their biggest ever league win.
A relentless all round performance in both attack and defence saw Reds’ nil 11th place Richmond on their own turf in an emphatic statement victory.
Fly-half Ben Burnell scored a try, kicked three conversions and pulled the strings superbly on his first ever start for Jersey.
Winger Will Brown scored two tries – the first barely 60 seconds from kick-off – while hooker Eoghan Clarke, No.8 Alun Lawrence, wing Ben Woollett, and replacements Russell Bennett and James Hadfield, all got over the whitewash.
The win crucially keeps the pressure on Championship leaders Ealing.
