The Boston Celtics toppled the Washington Wizards 110-104 in overtime to remain in charge at the top of the NBA Eastern Conference standings.
Trailing by three points with just 12 seconds left in regulation, Boston’s Kyrie Irving sank three free throws to tie the game and send it into extra time.
Jaylen Brown then added five of his 18 points during overtime to help seal the win.

Portland remained unbeaten at home this year after resisting a strong comeback attempt from the Charlotte Hornets.
The Trail Blazers extended their home winning streak to nine games with a 109-103 victory in overtime, scoring six straight points in the extra period.

Jonas Valanciunas had 18 points and 10 rebounds while Pascal Siakam finished with 14 points and a career-high six assists.
