Man admits driving while more than twice over the alcohol limit

A 54-YEAR-OLD man has admitted driving while more than twice the legal alcohol limit.

John Terence Peter Nutley was stopped while driving through St Brelade on the evening of 7 August and was asked by officers to take a breath test, the Magistrate’s Court heard yesterday.

He was found to have 81 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

The maximum allowed is 35 micrograms. Sentencing was adjourned until 16 November to allow for a probation report and Nutley was released on bail.
