Total arrivals at the Airport increased by 2.8 per cent in July with an extra 2,265 people landing compared to the same month last year.
The main contributor to this increase was a 3.5 per cent increase in passengers from the UK.Inter-island traffic rose by 0.9 per cent while the strength of the pound continues to have an effect on the number of passengers from the continent, which fell by 4.6 per cent last month.However, weekend traffic – traditionally the time when tourists fly in and out of the Island – is eight per cent down on last year.
