Officers issued an appeal for witnesses days after the incident on Sunday 7 April but despite some ‘names and information’ coming forward no one has been arrested.

Images of the man police would like to speak to in connection with the alleged assault have now been posted on the Caught on Camera section of the force’s website.

The incident occurred at about 1.15pm outside St Aubin’s Parish Hall. At the time, the police said the suspect was seen walking out of Morrisons with a take-away coffee, which, officers say, he allegedly threw over the driver after he was told he could not get on board with the drink.

In the image released by the force, which is believed to have been taken from CCTV inside Morrisons, a white man is seen seen wearing a grey cap and a backpack at the counter.

The LibertyBus driver was not injured in the incident but officers say he was ‘shaken’ and the ‘bus had to be taken off the road and could no longer be used that day’.

Police believe the person responsible spoke with a ‘Welsh or Liverpudlian accent’.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact police on 612612 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111. To report information about the incident online go to jersey.police.uk and search for ‘caught on camera’.
