With only one competition left he is in equal sixth place in the grand aggregate, out of 150 competitors.In competition three he was placed equal 17th, in competition four he was 11th and in competition five he was fifth.Meanwhile, Commonwealth Games shooter Kevin de Gruchy, who is competing in the elite Class X, is lying 50th in the grand aggregate, out of 86 entries.

Weather conditions have been hot and humid, and although the winds have been light they have been fish tailing, which in turn has meant that there has been a mirage effect, with competitors having extreme difficulty in spotting their shots, even at 50 metres.Veteran Brian de Gruchy in Class B is lying 79th in the grand aggregate and, although a little disappointed, has fired steadily all week.

In Class C John Renouf Snr has been shooting very well and is currently seventh in the grand aggregate out of 120 competitors.

In every competition to date he has finished in the top 20.Also in class C is Hayden Lister, who finished 15th in competition four and 21st in competition six.

He is currently lying in 40th place in the grand aggregate.While the aggregates finish today , the main event tomorrow is the British championship, which is shot concurrently with the Jersey long-range championship for the White & McKay trophy.
