Bad tenants: Housing hit back with CCTV

In a bid to fight crime and nuisance tenants, the Housing Committee are going to spend around £50,000 on 24-hour CCTV coverage of flats at Le Marais, Casearea Court, De Quetteville Court, La Collette flats, the Cedars and Hue Court.If the initial scheme is successful, it could be extended to other areas.And Housing have warned misbehaving tenants that they are about to launch a major crackdown – which will include moving families whose children persistently cause problems for neighbours.’The lives of some of the elderly tenants have been made a misery,’ said committee president Deputy Terry Le Main.
