Flybe’s one-way ticket to Guernsey

Jersey’s Economic Development Committee has given the airline a licence to run a scheduled service between the islands but Guernsey has yet to give its consent.

This means Flybe can fly passengers from Jersey to Guernsey but not in the opposite direction.Aurigny has formally objected to Flybe’s application in Guernsey but a date for the hearing before the island’s licensing authority has yet to be set.Flybe has also been granted a licence by Economic Development to fly between Jersey and Manchester although a parallel application to the Guernsey Transport Board has been objected to by Aurigny.

Flybe hopes the service will take off in March when its summer timetable begins.
