Barrett’s time in the 50m backstroke was 32.09 seconds and placed her fourth, behind swimmers from the Ukraine, Belgium and France.Her record-breaking time came just 24 hours after she had achieved a PB of 32.42 in the qualifying round swim for the A final.Boucheré broke two Island senior records, in the men’s 50m and 100m breast-stroke, in 32.63 and 1.10.25 respectively.

He also came very close to his national time in the 400 IM, in 4.44.83.Barrett also made the finals in the 100m backstroke (1.09.70), the 200m back (2.29.50) and the 400m IM (5.16.80).
