St Saviour-based entrepreneur and Manchester United fan Mr Leech said the recruitment of Alan Reade to chair Accura Animal Health was the business equivalent of Wayne Rooney signing for a non-league football team.
And the company has announced another major signing in the shape of Professor Donald Davies, who in the past has chaired bodies such as the Independent Panel for Vaccines Interaction Research and the Gulf War Illnesses Unit.
‘Getting him on board as a non-executive director is like having Cristiano Ronaldo joining at the same time.
‘This is a major coup for a small company like Accura to get two such big hitters. Mr Reade is number one expert in the companion health care field and I know Donald well as he was a founder director of ML Laboratories, which I used to chair,’ said Mr Leech.
