Three-nil up at half-time, with all their goals emanating from their right-hand side of the pitch, the leaders of Telecoms Junior League Div I wasted no time in stamping their authority on the match, which was watched by an excellent crowd of around 250.
Scott Finnigan’s opening goal from ten yards soon afer the kick-off set the tone, with Logan McGhee firing a second past goalkeeper Scott Simpson from close range five minutes later. Sam Dootson put the game beyond St Brelade’s reach with a goal deep into first-half stoppage time, heading high into the net.
Five minutes after the break Aaron Young – a county try scorer at rugby last weekend – showed his aptitude with the round ball to fire home from 12 yards.
