The Fire and Rescue Service had to pluck the 18-year-old from the rocks and lower him into a boat during a
daring rescue yesterday evening.
The teenager had been with a group of friends attempting to climb down the cliffs into the Devil’s Hole. He was the only one of the group who managed to get into the cave, but then got trapped on the way out.
Friends called the Fire Service after fears that a rising tide could put the teenager in danger as he clung to a ledge inside the cave.
