Jersey people should be first on new equity scheme

Jersey people should be first on new equity scheme

From Teresa Guy.

I WOULD like to suggest to our Housing Minister that those who hold the discriminatory stamp in their passports should be first on the list to be considered for the new shared equity scheme.

Perhaps this could be the compensation due to them and their families because they are disciminated against for merely being born and bred in the Island.

They should have the right to purchase affordable accommodation because their parents and grandparents have contributed to the Island’s eonomy.

In an Island that is constantly building homes which can be purchased by any J-cat who has just set foot in Jersey, is this really too much to ask?
