Man arrested following St Helier pub ‘assault’

According to the police, a 60-year-old man was punched in the face and sustained a cut that required hospital treatment.

They allege that the attacker had been holding a glass in his hand when he punched the man in The Office pub at about 11 pm on 7 December.

They are now appealing for information from witnesses, who are asked to call police headquarters on 612612 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

In a statement the States police said the two men were not known to each other and the younger man was about 6 ft tall, of slim build with short dark hair and stubble. He was wearing a white shirt.
