Dozens of Islanders came together to help in the search for Winston, an eight-year-old Jack Russell who had disappeared down a rabbit hole.
Debbie Wood said her dog went missing on Sunday at around 1.45 pm while she was walking him.
In a Facebook post overnight on Wednesday, Islander JJ Gallagher, who had been been searching for Winston, said: ‘Love to you all, sorry for the silence, I never felt as happy to get my hand licked down a hole! Will do a proper post tomorrow 100% shattered but over the moon. Massive well done all.’
