The 36-year-old was attacked in Bond Street by a man described as 5 ft 8 ins tall, of muscular build and with short hair. He was wearing a dark body warmer, white T-shirt and jeans.
The victim did not need hospital treatment.
Anyone with information about the incident, which happened at about 2.15 am on Saturday, is being asked to phone the States police on 612612 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
