With the international break over, it’s possible that you might just have forgotten where the Premier League left off.

It’s early doors, but Jose Mourinho’s side already look twice the team of last year, with Romelu Lukaku a crucial presence up front, and Nemanja Matic transforming the midfield.

Furthermore, the Old Trafford side have four more games until they face another of last year’s top six – could it be seven wins from seven by the time they travel to Anfield?

High-flying Huddersfield

The year is 1924, and Huddersfield Town are flying high in the First Division under the stewardship of Herbert Chapman.

The Terriers won the second of three league titles that season, and while they are unlikely to add a fourth this year, they are undefeated so far in the Premier League having won promotion from the Championship last season.

Also, head coach David Wagner was awarded manager of the month for August – they couldn’t do a Leicester, could they?

Tottenham’s Wembley woes

Tottenham’s home record at White Hart Lane last season was 17 wins from 19 – the club have already dropped more points at home this year than they did in the entirety of the 2016/17 season.

Temporarily playing home games at Wembley Stadium while their new ground is being built, Spurs are struggling – a 1-1 draw against Burnley only seemed to confirm that.

Tottenham have won two of 12 games at the new Wembley since it opened in 2007 – they can’t possibly mount a title challenge with form like that.

Liverpool’s goal guys

Between them, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino have seven Premier League goals and four assists according to the Fantasy Premier League.

Can anyone keep a clean sheet against Jurgen Klopp’s forwards? Manchester City will be the next team to try.
