Jersey Women juniors Megan Wood and Ella Brennand have been invited to The Glovers’ senior team trial on 20 January, after impressing in a development match between Southampton FC and Yeovil academies on Sunday.
The duo featured for around 80 minutes at Southampton, with Wood claiming an assist in Yeovil’s 1-0 victory.
There was also a familiar face in the opposition goal, with Island goalkeeper Sara Luce – studying at Southampton University – continuing her involvement with the Saints’ development side.
